This year will see Bullworthy’s Stefan Bullworthy and Trade Garage Equipment’s Ian Leatherland participate in the Virgin London Marathon in an attempt to raise money for a worthwhile charity. The pair are running the prestigious London Marathon in an attempt to raise as much money as possible for Neuroblastoma UK which is a charity that is very close to the hearts of both participants.
Neuroblastoma is a rare aggressive childhood cancer which affects the lives of about 100 children in the UK each year. The NBUK works exclusively for these children in raising funds for British research into the disease, and offering information and support to families affected by Neuroblastoma.
This will be Stefan’s third attempt and Ian’s second participating in the London Marathon after successfully completing previous marathons in very respectful times. Knowing full well what lies ahead of them, the pair have stepped up the training and are undergoing an intense regime to ensure that they are prepared for the race.
Stefan had this to say about how the training is going so far.
Ian and I are on similar training plans, so we are up to about 16 miles this week. Believe it or not we’re both three months of training in now. It’s very hard work but well worth the cause, and cannot wait until the big day.
Show your support to Stef and Ian today by visiting reading more of their story and donating as much as you possibly can via their official JustGiving page and help raise as much money as possible for this very worthwhile cause.
