T.R Bullworthy Ltd – Specialists in garage equipment were recently contacted by local Fiat dealership Auto Drive of Hanworth looking to replace their existing MOT testing equipment and service lifts. The new equipment would need to be installed into a brand new workshop the company had recently acquired situated close by to their existing premises.

A member of T.R Bullworthy Ltd’s dedicated projects team was quickly deployed to site in order to meet with the client and discuss their requirements and explore the options available to them. One concern the client expressed was the emphasis on ensuring the MOT equipment be supplied and installed as quickly as possible due to the workshops busy testing schedule. This would also allow the client to decommission their existing MOT bay and close the doors to their old workshop. With this taken on board it was agreed upon between the customer and representative that in order to keep downtime to a minimum, the MOT bay would be installed first and when fully operational they could focus on furnishing the rest of the workshop with the replacement service lifts the client requested originally.

Tendered in the quotation was a new 4 tonne Technique scissor lift complete with a 2 tonne jacking beam which would also be accompanied by a Technique brake tester and headlamp aligner – A package more than capable of withstanding the toughest testing schedule.
With no time to waste work quickly commenced soon after with T.R Bullwothy’s highly skilled, GEA (Garage Equipment Association) accredited installation engineers getting stuck in with the task in hand of installing the new MOT equipment into the pre-prepared recesses inside the client’s new workshop.

After successfully installing the equipment within the strict time schedule, engineers left site and handed over the project to the client which we are pleased to say was successfully passed by a representative of the DVSA (Drive and Vehicle Standards Agency), giving the customer the green light to commence with testing once again.
