Haynes Car Care Build For The Future!

Space matters with modern workshops so ensuring you utilise every available inch whilst maintaining adequate spacing to fulfill health and safety obligations is of the utmost importance.
Bullworthy were recently contacted by Haynes Car Care situated in Wallingford, Oxfordshire who were looking to renovate an old unit adjacent to their existing workshop in a bid to expand their business and increase productivity.

Included in the original brief outlined by the client was the supply and installation of a commercial two post lift as well as a surface mounted four post lift capable of performing wheel alignment. However, the customer raised concerns in the early stages of the project with regards to the size of the adjacent building and whether the equipment would fit adequately inside.
After performing a survey onsite during the initial consultation with the customer, the project was handed over to Bullworthy’s dedicated in-house planning department where they were able to create a viable solution as to how the equipment could be installed in the most efficient manner possible whilst staying within the lines of health and safety regulations.

The plan was simple – By installing the two post lift towards the front of the workshop area, this would provide adequate drive-through space to access the four post lift further up towards the top end of the workshop.

Rotary vehicle lifts were the obvious choice – The SPO40M-EH4 commercial two post lift was picked on account of its wide base and overall drive-through clearance of almost 3 meters. The SM40-51N-AK surface mounted four post lift was chosen due to its ability to be adapted to perform wheel alignment whilst still performing as a traditional service ramp.

The equipment was successfully installed by Bullworthy’s GEA (Garage Equipment Association) accredited installations team who carried out all works to the highest standards possible.
